Activities
Cleeve Common’s wide open grassland and splendid views have attracted recreational activities for the past 200 years. The Common is open to the public for your enjoyment, but please remember that it is also a Site of Special Scientific Interest and an important part of our natural heritage.
The Board of Conservators has authority to control what activities may take place and where. The Board’s policy is to permit as wide a range of peaceful recreational activities as possible, as long as they:
- Do not cause environmental damage, such as erosion
- Do not harm or interfere with grazing stock
- Do not endanger or cause annoyance to other users of the Common.
The linked pages provide guidance for participants in the many activities that take place on the Common. Please contact us if you have queries about these or any other activity.
