Sheep on the Common

The summer grazing season has begun and there are now sheep and lambs on the Common. Every year there are dog attacks on sheep, often fatal. Don’t let it be your dog that does this. Thank you to all responsible dog walkers.

Sheep and cattle are essential to keeping Cleeve Common an open and wildflower rich area. Without grazing, coarse grass, gorse and thorn scrub would out-compete the flowers, some of which are critically endangered species.
