Introduction to Drawing Trees with Charcoal

Join local artist and Cleeve Common volunteer Gemma Hastilow for an immersive workshop where we will sketch Cleeve Common’s most iconic trees, using charcoal, graphite and rubbers.

We will walk out over the Common taking in the scenery on the way to meet these wonderful trees. We will then sketch them using charcoal, one of the oldest drawing materials made from burnt wood.

Learn how to tackle trunks, branches and bark and where to start with all of those leaves!

Complete beginners very welcome and all materials provided.

Booking is essential. Suitable for ages 14 years and above.
